India vs Australia 4th Test  Day 3: India need 87 to win the fourth and final test match in dharamshala

India need 87 to win the fourth and final test match in dharamshala

Today was a  magical day for India. Indian bowlrers dismissed Australia for 137 on the 3rd day of India vs Australia Dharamshala test on Monday. After 2 days of intense battle, We have more than a slight hint of where this game is heading. India have finally wrested control in this match. It was in the post lunch session that their pacers turned it around and then the spinners-Jadeja and Ashwin complimented the pacers to Inflict further damage. Another retrieving day’s play, the turnout wasn’t that great but crowd loved every moment of it. And now India need 87 more runs to pull off the test and the Border Gavaskar Trophy from Aussies

Let’s see what’s Ashwin said bout today’s match.

Ravichandran Ashwin: You couldn’t have asked for more. We had a great first session. Jaddu (Jadeja) and Saha batted really well. We got our noses ahead and then great spell by Umesh and Bhuvneshwar to start off for us (in the Australian second innings). From then on we capitalised and didn’t let them come back into the game. Australia bowled very well all through yesterday as well. We had to buckle down and fight. We got some very vital small partnerships going. We couldn’t make any of those partnerships big but what happened this morning was special from Saha and Jaddu.

This pitch is very very good to bat. There are a few cracks opening up outside the off stump for the off spinner which can be a little tricky. But you have to bide your time and bat patiently given that the off spinner is bowling. If you get your timing right there is a lot of runs on offer here.

It has been a magical season. It would be difficult to replicate, but I will strive hard to achieve this again.

Jadeja batted beautifully. I again told him there was a hundred for the taking which he missed. I thought after he got his fifty he was playing too many shots. He is a very very talented batsman and if he can put his head down he can get a few hundreds for us.

Tomorrow we will pretty much bat the way we have. Rahul and Vijay bat tightly. They have been in good form and should just capitalise and make fifties for themselves.
