India vs Australia, Dharamsala Test, Day 4: The Conclusion Day

India Won a memorable 2-1 series victory against Australia, with an eight wicket win in the last test match in Dharamshala, thus retaining the Border Gavaskar Trophy. On day 4 KL Rahul scored the 7th fifty as India reached the target in the first session itself. Before the match there was huge excitement within the viewers across India and Australia, What would be  the final outcome. But KL Rahul along with Ajinkiya Rahane put a full stop for that excitement in the first session. Ravindra Jadeja adjudged the man of the match and man of the series. Ravindra Jadeja becomes the first left-arm Indian spinner o win a man of the series award in Test.

And what the Dharamshala Test also shown and it’s really great news for Indian cricket overall is that this Player(Ajinkiya Rahane ) also has a very excellent cricketing brain when it comes to captaincy.The Indian team is on the right track with Anil Kumble as the coach. Umesh Yadav had a fantastic season.He played 12 out of the 13 matches and he balls the first ball of the day as the same speed which he balls the last ball of the day. SO fitness, stamina and the aggression that he shown in these 12 Test matches is also a crucial factor that India winning the series.

Ravindra Jadeja also had a great season. The way he bowled in Bengluru on a flat pitch he got 6 wickets on 22 overs. The way he picked up another 5 in Ranchi again day 1 in a flat picth. And the way he batted in Mohali and 63 he scored in Dharamshala. He eliminated all doubts and he has evolved as a proper test match allrounder.

“When I had a chat with Ajinkiya Rahane before the Dharamshala Test, I asked Rahane what you want and Rahane said what you think and I said,”look you are the captain and it’s your call” and Rahane instantly said- 5 bowlers”. – Virat Kohli
